Après la seconde place de Magic Dream dans un Groupe, la victoire d’Urgent Appeal et la 3ème place de Sotoro dans le Montenica LR, c’est Cash Equity qui réalise une très bonne rentrée dans le Prix François Mathet LR. Ces 4 chevaux balcktype ont tous été élevés sur les terres de Haras de Castillon et de la SCEA des Prairies.

Absent depuis sa belle victoire dans le Prix brantôme (Classe 2) à Angers, le 3 octobre, Cash Equity a réalisé une excellente rentrée, à un niveau de compétition qu’il découvrait. Son entraîneur, Ludovic Gadbin, a confié à Jour De Galop : « C'est une très bonne rentrée. Il affrontait des chevaux qui avaient déjà couru cette année, dont le lauréat qui a très bien gagné. Cash Equity avait montré du potentiel dans ce type de terrain l'an passé à Angers. Nous n'avions pas de doute sur la distance mais il fallait qu'il nous montre pouvoir monter ainsi de catégorie. Ce qu'il a fait. Nous l'avons toujours bien aimé et, après sa victoire à Angers, nous lui avons laissé le temps d'hiverner, de prendre de la force physiquement et d'arriver avec une certaine fraîcheur sur le printemps. Il ne sera pas dérangé par le raffermissement des pistes au printemps : il avait bien couru dans une Classe 2 de bon niveau à Lyon-Parilly l'an dernier. Nous l'avions engagé dans la Poule d'Essai, au cas où il faille le raccourcir, mais aussi dans le Jockey Club et le Grand Prix de Paris : son programme devrait plutôt s'orienter sur la distance, vers le Jockey Club. Il devrait courir une fois avant d'aller, peut-être, sur le Gr.1. »
